Meet our Program Graduates

Joseline Mendoza, PharmD
Program Graduate: 2023
Joseline Mendoza was born in Long Beach, California and was raised in Port Arthur, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lamar University before going on to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. Joseline completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas where she remains continuing her career as a Clinical II Pharmacist. Infectious diseases, critical care, and emergency medicine are among Joseline‘s current pharmacy interests. She plans to become a board-certified pharmacy specialist within the next few months after completing her residency. Joseline‘s interests outside of pharmacy include anime, video games, and spending time with family and friends.

Vicki La, PharmD
Program Graduate: 2023
Vicki La, PharmD was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Texas A&M University before going on to complete her PGY1 pharmacy residency at the Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. She is now fulfilling her dream of becoming a clinical pharmacist with a special interest in cardiology at Memorial Hermann – Greater Heights where she is focused on decreasing heart failure readmission rates. Her future goals also include working towards achieving board-certification within the upcoming year. Outside of pharmacy, Vicki’s interests include drawing, video games, and rooting for her favorite F1 motorsports teams.

Joy Nwoke, PharmD, BCPS
Program Graduate: 2022
Joy Nwoke, PharmD earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Georgia State University and completed her Doctor of Pharmacy education at Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA. Following graduation, she completed a Post Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) pharmacy residency at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. Dr. Nwoke currently works as a clinical pharmacist with future plans to transition into academia to merge her passion for teaching and delivering quality person-centered care.
